  • The Property

With fantastic views of Lake Windermere these dorms are positioned perfectly to fully enjoy the sprawling landscape and provide somewhere warm, clean and comfortable for you to retire to at the end of an eventful day exploring the thriving Lake District.
It’s impossible to capture the true beauty of this area in a two-dimensional photo. So why not come along and experience it for yourself?

The dorms themselves are part of the newest addition to the camp, the Stoller Campus. This is certainly one of the best places to be, to fully appreciate the tranquillity of the waters that feel just touching distance away.

While situated down a well-travelled country road to provide the tranquillity and peace that is afforded to the area the nearest town is the historic town of Ulverston with Bowness and Windermere not far behind. The nearby towns provide a great range of restaurants, cafes and shopping opportunities, while nearly 50 land and water based activities are accessible from closer to home; such as canoeing, kayaking, laze tag, paddle boarding, climbing, archery, fell walking and caving just to name a few.

  • The Space

Each private room provides three bunk beds, situated within Lakeside’s North Camp at the YMCA, with access to a private EnSite. Large floor to ceiling windows provide natural light that spills in to each dorm with misty morning views and the perfect spot to keep warm while watching the sun rise and set over the lake itself.

While there is no full kitchen facilities available, we do have a communal space with access to a kettle, toaster, microwave and a small fridge for guest use. If you wish to bring your own barbecue you may use the campfire area. Please do not use barbecues on the ground or build your own fire pits. BBQs must be attended at all times.

  • Getting Around

  • Guest Access

On site parking is provided through use of the car park. Please use the spaces to the rear of the building or within the gravel car park – we ask that you do not block the painted hatching as access is required at all times!

  • Additional Information

  • Local Area

Located down the road from the Lakeside Village, the scenic country route will take you down a winding country road surrounded by lush vegetation and a hidden walking route through the towering Oak, Birch, Larch and Scots Pine trees. High Dam is located nearby and provides an excellent spot for walking, the dam itself was built in 1800s to provide a water supply for Bobbin Mill at Scott Park which is located a few miles up the road from the Lakeside North Camp.
