This is our second time staying in this beautiful house, and we enjoyed it just as much as our first visit. Lovely comfortable property in a fabulous quiet location.

Peter

Beautifully quiet and peaceful location. Plenty of space for group in shared areas. Well equipped kitchen. Good sized bedrooms. Fabulous main bathrooms. Private and peaceful outdoor space.

Heron Beck is a lovely, spacious home with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms… It was so good to be back with our extended family for a second time to this interesting house with its three floors interlinked by fascinating spiral staircase; a fine balcony on which to relax; a spacious kitchen to gather together at mealtimes. The surrounding countryside is outstanding yet close to amenities of Ulverston (especially Booths) and a great gateway further into the lakes.

Fourth visit so must be good! Location is the thing, outside the National Park, but easily accessible to it, it is handy for the south lakes as well as the facilities of Ulverston e.g. Booths. Easy access over a decent road. Lovely view and walks from the house. This is a house of stairs, so if stairs are not your thing, this may not be for you. Otherwise, it is a comfortable, characterful and very attractive house that is well equipped, especially the garden furniture.

Stayed for a long weekend at her and back and had a brilliant time. The house is really beautiful, very well presented, clean and comfortable, the decor and finishing touches make this a really lovely holiday cottage to stay in. The location is great just two miles out of Ulverston and we used Paul’s Taxis when we didn’t want to drive. Also, a great location for exploring the lakes or just relaxing with friends in the house and garden. Would definitely recommend!!!!

We had a lovely stay at Heron Back. The cottage was very homey, easily fitting 10 people without feeling cramped. The facilities were great and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Joy made contact beforehand to check everything was okay. Thank you!

Max

The cottage was warm, cosy and very well equipped. Great for families.

Jan
