A wonderful pre- Christmas break!

We have just spent 5 nights in this property leading up to Christmas. It is situated in a country setting with wonderful views: Coniston, Windermere, Kendal & Ambleside are not too far away. We enjoyed a cruise on Windermere from Bowness to Ambleside; both lovely towns for shopping. Supermarkets (Booths) are quite close by. We arrived to a warm, welcoming, Christmassy feel as the owners had decorated the property for the season, which was a lovely touch. It was extremely well-equipped, clean, cosy, comfortable and beautifully presented with a variety of little nooks to relax and enjoy some quiet time. There are two really friendly pubs with great food within 15 mins of the cottage. We could not fault anything and we found Ridgestone staff prompt and friendly regarding information and queries. We would highly recommend this property.

Lovely stay at Jackson's Barn

We’ve just come back from a very comfortable and cosy 3 night stay at Jackson’s Barn. The cottage has everything you need from a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, cosy sitting room with a multifuel stove, to lovely outdoor sitting areas. From the cottage, we had a great walk up over the moors to Beacon Tarn and to Coniston Lake. Great property for visiting the Lakes. Thank you. Catherine.

Wonderful

We have just got back from a wonderful two night break at Jackson’s Barn, the barn was gorgeous and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space to have a quiet 5 minutes away from the kids before going out to explore.
Great location, we took out electric bikes at Grizedale Forest, visited Grasmere & Ambleside.
There was lots of information on where to eat and the ones we tried were lovely.
Straight out of the barn is a great walk with fantastic views over Coniston.
We would highly recommend a break here and can’t wait to go back.

Jackson’s Barn

We loved staying here! Idyllic setting for this beautifully renovated and furnished barn. Lots of space for all of us, including 2 teenage boys. Great kitchen, cosy living room with log fire (although weather was fab so no need during our visit), beds were super comfortable, and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace with a cup of tea and look at the view. Thank you!
