The Space

The Cabin is a delightful and intimate retreat situated in Higher Longtail, Ferry View, Bowness-on-Windermere. Perfect for couples seeking a peaceful
getaway, this modern cabin combines comfort with contemporary amenities.

The spacious bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor, complete with a power shower, sink, and toilet. Bed linens and towels are provided to ensure a comfortable stay.

The living area includes a TV for entertainment, heating for cozy evenings, and WIFI to keep you connected. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you
need to prepare meals, including an electric kettle, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, fridge, glassware, mugs, plates, bowls, utensils, and wine glasses.

Outside, the private patio area with a hot tub offers a perfect spot to unwind, while the garden provides a serene environment for relaxation.

Additional Information
  • The property has private parking for two cars, found at the back of the property.

  • The Property is a 5 minute walk form the town centre and a 10-minute walk from Windermere train station.

  • We are pet friendly. However, please only allow them in the downstairs of the property. Also, the property border is currently not “dog proofed”

  • Children are more than welcome. Please be aware that the hot tub is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age

  • Late check out is available for a cost of £10, which is to be left in an honest box found at the property.

  • Wheelchair access is unfortunately not available, as there is steps at both the front and rear access points of the property and the property is spread over two floors, with both bedrooms and main bathroom upstairs.

Getting Around

The cabin is ideally located for exploring the diverse attractions of the Lake District. Nearby Bowness-on-Windermere offers a vibrant atmosphere with shops, cafes, and restaurants along its lakeside promenade. The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and boat trips from Bowness Pier are popular local
highlights.

Windermere town, closely linked to Bowness, provides additional dining and
shopping options, including the Windermere Jetty Museum showcasing the area’s maritime history. Kendal, a short drive away, features historic sites like Kendal Castle and cultural venues such as the Quaker Tapestry Museum.

To the north, Keswick beckons with its scenic location between Derwentwater
and the Skiddaw mountains. This charming town is perfect for outdoor
enthusiasts, offering hiking trails around Derwentwater and cultural experiences at the Theatre by the Lake and Keswick Museum.

Ambleside, at Lake Windermere’s northern tip, boasts historical landmarks like
the Bridge House and natural attractions such as Stock Ghyll Force waterfall.
Nearby Grasmere, famous for its association with William Wordsworth, invites exploration of Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage and sampling the renowned

Getting Around

The nearest train station is Windermere Station, a short drive from the property, offering connections to major cities and towns.

The central location of The Cabin provides easy access to the A591, connecting
you to popular destinations like Ambleside, Grasmere, and Keswick.

Local buses run regularly, making it easy to explore the Lake District without a car. Taxis are also readily available, and car hire options are accessible for
those who prefer to drive.

For guests traveling by car, parking is available at the property on the private
driveway

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the Cabin, including the bedroom, en-suite
bathroom, living area, and kitchen. The private patio with a hot tub and the garden area are also available for guests to enjoy.

The Cabin overlooks the neighbouring property, the Hideaway at Higher Longtail.

Guests at the Cabin do not have access to the overlooked garden.

Parking is provided on the private driveway

Additional Information

We cannot accept pets and respectfully ask that you leave your furry friends at home for this particular trip!

A Deposit of £100.00 is to be charged on the date of arrival and returned three
days post check-out. This is charged to the card used to secure the booking.
