An absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had stumbled upon something truly special. The setting was stunning, offering both a peaceful escape and a perfect base for exploring the lakes.

The property itself was a delight. The living space was incredibly cosy, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bed was a dream, and the host was so welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

This is by far the best holiday let we have ever stayed in. It offers a level of comfort and tranquility that is unmatched. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

5 Stars.

One word sums this place up…..wow. The views, the tranquility, the bath, the super comfortable bed, the hidden treats and Jan, the super attentive host, all add up to an amazing stay. Also included, was WiFi (good speed) and breakfast items, which comprised of fresh bread, Greek yogurt, granola, Milk, cereal, orange juice and various condiments. These were most welcome as were the chocolate treats, home made shortbread, crisps and biscuits.
As if the beautiful views weren’t enough to wake up to, the bird feeder outside the window attracts Blue tits and other beautiful birds, which were great entertainment first thing in the morning. One point to note is that there is no tv. Personally I would like to have had a radio and an ironing board but this is not a gripe just a ‘nice to have’ observation that in no way undermined the stay. This is without doubt a five star stay and we will return.

The Room

Absolutely loved my stay at The Room! This luxury studio, set in a gorgeous 17th-century farmhouse right at the foot of Whitbarrow Scar, was exactly what I needed. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the spa-style bathroom felt like a real treat. My favorite part had to be the private balcony – sipping coffee and taking in those stunning views across the farmland was pure bliss. Being able to step right out for walks from the doorstep was fantastic too. It’s truly a peaceful, stylish, and perfectly located spot for both relaxing and exploring the Lake District. The host was so lovely as well! Highly recommend it!
